I can’t believe those past two calls I made right now, SERIOUSLY ! .. How Come I use My Mobile Voice Line For YEARS ! And I get a message telling me ” Thank you for Using Vodafone Internet Prepaid” , My Line is switched to Data Line !Yes My Voice Line was swtiched to a Data Line which works for USB Modems and Data devices .. I called Vodafone Support and the Guy told me :

” Switch Network To Manual, Choose any other network then choose Vodafone Back , Remove your SIM Card for 2 minutes and Turn it on again , It will work fine “

Of Course I didn’t do such steps because It’s ridiclous, so couple minutes later I called them again, The Support Guy was a nice better one actually, He followed the issue and told me your line is USB Not voice line . Told him the story above, then he got full name and put me on hold for couple minutes, then it worked again as voice, but as a brand new one, with no balance which i didn’t find out except when I ended the call . Another call made to Support, made a complaint and I should call them tomorrow to check what they did .

The Point of this is not about the Balance which disappeared . It is about the bad service that made such a disaster happen . The only conclusion from this is that someone at a Vodafone Store committed something wrong while regsitering a new data line for some user and It turned out to be my line ! If you got any other suggestion for what happened, please leave a comment .

As am working in the field, We (Designers or Developers) work hard on Designing and Developing Websites or Applications . Then it comes the rule of “Tester” . That Person who tests every single thing happens , finding bugs.

Apparently Vodafone Egypt did not hear about such position.I have been using their new product, Vodafone Buzz over the past couple weeks. The App Performance is slow, Service is always busy and user should try again, With Many Clients It Charges 1 EGP though It should be Free of Charge .

But The New Discovered Issue happened with me Yesterday after Rebooting My Blackberry and accessing The App again, Guess what , I am logged on another user’s Profile, Could control all of his Data, Facebook Posts, IMs, All his account settings .

I rebooted the Blackberry again after seeing this, Logged on the App, Yet Again I got another User Account Called ” Essam ” , Could chat with all his friends and accessing Facebook And Account Settings .

Third Reboot Got Me Back My Profile and I have contacted @VodafoneEgypt Account on Twitter complaining about the issue .

Today After I got out of an area without Network Coverage and Restarted Vodafone Buzz , I was for the 3rd time logged on Some Girl Profile . She didn’t have any Friends on it .

This is an extreme violation of Users Privacy with letting such a bug on their service till that moment. It was supposed after complaining Yesterday that their development team work on fixing such a problem ASAP !

Such Poor Developed Applications should have got its Alpha, Beta Phases . Vodafone, You are still for months giving your customers a reason to switch to Other Network .

Yes, I’m Freakin’ Lazy And I hate myself Right Now ..

It feels “Ugly” When you want to do something, but you cannot do it .. Sometimes, there would be a reason, other times You just cannot do it ..

But There are “Things” that you’re forced to do .. Others would consider it normal and not that ugly like I believe ..

Simply, We, Egyptian “Students” or “Professors” ARE The worst example for Education in the world . A few would survive from this discerption .

So This is my First Day at work .. I mean a full-time job .. The last time I had a full-time job was like 2 years old when I worked on Some Educational Project online for High School Students & I was really enjoying the time I spend .

But Today, I’m here with new people, new workstation, new tasks, everything would be totally new .. In the same time, I still have studies & I go to courses & trying to make them all after work so I won’t have to leave the work and back again .. It’s really hard to manage a full-time job & studies in the same time .. but people do this all over the world and I really wanna do this too ..

It’s not always what we think of while working is money, but It’s your future, and It’s could be the lifetime career, the experience you get from work and while working with new people everytime, another kind of clients, and you try to do your best at work to show what you can do. However, You cannot think about studies and put them off from your life track. Both should go side by side to achieve what you really want to be .

I’ve been working in the past few days on a simple WordPress Template to Move From Blogger to a self-hosted WordPress Blog . And I’ve decided to build it the new way & Not the old way .. So What’s the New Way ?

I really enjoyed Trying the New WordPress 3 that contains some lovely new features –You Can Find More About it in (Arabic) or (English) — . And I made up my mind to use it and create a new template built with HTML5 & CSS3 .

It’s a  good experience to try using the new elements of HTML5 and ignore how it will look like in IE6 ( Sorry IE6 Users But You have to Upgrade Your Browser ) . You may think It’s easy when you see the new elements but when you try using them It will be different & You may take sometime to get used to them .

You can Fine Many Resources Online about How to use HTML5 to create an Interface for your website or blog . HTML5 is already working Fine on Firefox, Chrome & Safari I think ? I can’t use Safari on my Inspiron & Don’t know why !

Another Issue I had to solve was moving the comments From IntenseDebate Which I used as the comments system on Blogger Blog & Wanted to switch to Disqus . It took me sometime to edit the xml exported file and then importing comments back on Disqus .

I believe there still some issues regarding changing the DNS but It takes too long to be working everywhere . I get some errors from services like Feedburner (Bad hostname) UGH!

It’s not that easy to work and study in the same time. Many people have a serious problem with multi-tasking and I would be a one of them . On The short term it would be easier to manage work and study but we would reach to a point to either choose between studies or work .

Time is freaking fast and while you try to work and study, you find that some task would take the time of another one too even if you did all the best with Managing Time and made a to-do list and what will you do every day .

I wouldn’t say that All people are the same, There are some people that are very successful to manage time and multi-task Work and Studies but people are not the same and we shouldn’t expect that from all people around us or even ourselves . When we find that we cannot manage time that good, we shouldn’t be surprised .

Solutions

We cannot say that there will be no solution but It would be hard to find other simpler solutions for such a problem. One of the solutions is to try to manage time for less-time and not a full day. For Example you would try to manage what you are going to study in the next 3 hours and always have a break between each hour to have any activity . Entertainment is a must so you cannot pressure yourself .

Managing time is not an easy job to do but It needs more practice to be skilled in Time Management .

This Year is a year of Success and Failure for everyone. Nobody would get a completely failure year or a complete successful year . Every Year We try to put our resolutions for the new year, We always dream of a better year, a better life which it would or wouldn’t happen but It doesn’t hurt because at last, It’s still a dream.

One of the most successful things I really enjoyed was my work . Having a work since 2006 taught me a lot. I knew about Working from Home & Volunteer work . I knew more and more about Web Design in those years and I still learn . I  had my first steps into Social Networks, Created My First Personal Blog and My First Professional Blog about Social Media in Arabic, I got to know more and more about Social Media, Public Relations, SEO, Analysis … etc. Many Interesting Things happened to me in those few years .

Although most of them didn’t have a good end, I had to shutdown both of my first personal Blog and My First Professional Blog because of Studies and Work, but that didn’t let me go down and I had my new personal blog and my new professional blog about Web Design . 2009 had my most successful time at work, creating brands for our company and our clients and re-branding was not an easy job .

In 2010, I hope that this success would remain, and I’m still hoping for better and happy life, more successful projects to work on in this year .

I will not forget to mention what I really enjoyed to do in 2009 which was working with World AIDS Campaign Task Force in Egypt to re-branding WAC Egypt Campaign for this year . Volunteer work is a real joy in life .
